Once again football fans have been left divided over two separate incidents involving arguably the two greatest players of all-time.
This time it is not the debate over who is the best between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi but rather, shockingly, the pitch invasion of matches involving the two icons.
Messi was interrupted by a fan during the game between Argentina and Australia in Beijing while a supporter run onto the pitch to hug and perform the 'siuu' celebration with Ronaldo in the match involving Portugal and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The 2022 World Cup winner, Messi scored the fastest goal of his career as Argentina defeated Australia 2-0, as reported by ESPN.

FootballAnd according to the BBC, Ronaldo won his 199th cap for Portugal as they thrashed Bosnia on Saturday.
Fans have taken to social media to react on both cases, claiming one was staged with others drawing a comparison between who should be considered arrogant and who is humble.

It’s fishy how this happened one day after the pitch invasion by a messi fan. He can’t pay people to invade the pitch in Saudi cuz nobody cares about him like that, there. lol

I don't think Ronaldo would stage a pitch invasion just to compete with Messi. He's a professional athlete and wouldn't want to risk his reputation for a silly stunt. Plus, he's always been very gracious with his fans.
