Vinicius Junior’s ordeal in La Liga has prompted the Brazil national team to honour the 22-year-old forward during their international friendly game against Guinea.

The Real Madrid winger took a swipe at La Liga, claiming the Spanish league "belongs to racists" after suffering too many racist incidents over the course of the 2022/23 campaign.

According to Goal, Brazil lined up in an all-black kit for the first time on Saturday against Guinea as part of an anti-racism campaign and a show of support for Vinicius.

The Selecao squad stood behind boards that showed the message, "With racism, there is no game", as a minute's silence was observed with players from both sides kneeling.

Vinicius has been subjected to ten reported incidents of racist abuse this season in La Liga, most recently by Valencia fans during a league clash at the Mestalla on May 21, in which he was eventually sent off.

FIFA gives Vinicius special appointment

Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior will chair a special FIFA anti-racism committee comprised of players who will recommend harsher penalties for discriminatory behaviour in football, Sky Sports reports.

After meeting with the Real Madrid forward and the Brazil national team, FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed Vinicius' participation in the special FIFA anti-racism committee.

Infantino insisted ‘enough is enough’ in the fight against racism and has called for matches to be stopped if any racist incident occurs in match venues in the future.

Police arrest six Mallorca Ultras

Earlier, Sports Brief reported further arrests have been made by Spanish police in connection to hate crimes against Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. This comes weeks after La Liga promised stiff sanctions against racism in the league.

Six fans have been arrested for posters and chants directed towards the Brazilian La Liga President Javier Tebas.

The incidents occurred before a match between Valencia and Real Mallorca after Vinicius was abused at Mestalla Stadium just three days before.
