Lionel Messi brutally left Australia's player Alex Robertson hanging at the end of an international friendly on June 15.
Messi captained Argentina to a 2-0 win over Australia in Beijing, with the departing Paris Saint-Germain forward scoring the fastest goal of his career.
Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez set up the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner as soon as the game kicked off, who whipped in a curler past Socceroos skipper Matt Ryan. German Pezzella scored the other goal for the World Champions.
After the game, Robertson tried to get Messi's shirt as a souvenir but was seemingly ignored by the 35-year-old. The Manchester City starlet attempted to tug Messi's shirt in a bid to get his attention, but the Argentine icon wheezed past him.
Robertson was introduced by Head Coach Graham Arnold in the 73rd minute for Mathew Leckie. The U-23 player, as captured by Transfer Market, was an unused substitute in Manchester City's last two Premier League games against Brighton and Brentford.
Messi's skill vs Australia
In the same game, Sports Brief reported that Messi rolled back the hands of time to produce a ridiculous dribble, wriggling his way around Australian defenders during an international friendly.
Messi mesmerised the crowd at the Workers Stadium with his trademark dribbling, effortlessly evading Australian defenders with his exquisite touches and agile changes of direction.
Ronaldo fan teases Messi fans
A football fan performed Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic celebrations inside the Beijing Workers' Stadium during Argentina's friendly game against Australia.
The man wore an Al-Nassr jersey to the exhibition match and went viral online due to his emulation of Ronaldo's celebrations in front of Lionel Messi fans.
In a video clip shared on Twitter, the fan was spotted in the stands, turning to those behind him and shouting to get their attention. He then performed CR7's 'SIUUU' and 'nap' celebrations - to the displeasure of the Messi fans.
