Cristiano Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, have always been rumoured not to see eye-to-eye.

Ronaldo's love life has always been in the limelight, with many unconfirmed reports about his relationship with Rodriguez making headlines.

As Marca reports, the supposedly strained relationship between the two began when Rodriguez moved in with Ronaldo in 2016.

Then at Real Madrid, the veteran is said to have given the Argentine-born influencer the leeway to redecorate his house in Spain to make her more comfortable.

The report adds that one of the changes Rodriguez effected was removing a photo of Ronaldo and his mother from above the fireplace and replacing it with one of herself.

This is said to have upset Aveiro, who saw it as an attempt by the model to 'replace her in her son's life' and is believed to be the foundation of their rumoured feud.

However, Rodriguez's relationship with Ronaldo has grown from strength to strength, with the couple disputing any sort of problems in their relationship this year.

As GOAL reported, the superstar's mother also stepped in and disputed claims the couple had issues in their relationship. They have five kids together, two of which are Rodriguez's biological children.

This comes at a time when Sports Brief also reported that Dolores Aveiro was said to be involved in an unusual attempt to influence her son's relationship with long-time girlfriend, Rodriguez.

The nature and extent of her involvement in disrupting their relationship remain unclear, but an infamous Cuban psychic has since accused Ronaldo's mother of resorting to unorthodox means.

According to initial reports from Portuguese media, Dolores is allegedly blocking Ronaldo from marrying Rodriguez over suspicion that the model is seeking financial gain from a potential divorce.
