Argentina’s current tour of Asia has got some fans wishing Lionel Messi will take a tour of their own country while in the continent.
The 2022 World Cup winners are visiting China as La Albiceleste are currently in Beijing to take on Australia in an international friendly game on Thursday, June 15.
According to Sportskeeda, a fan made an emotional plea to Argentina captain Lionel Messi through a song as he urged the 35-year-old to visit Indonesia.
"Please come to Indonesia man. We're waiting for you bro. We love you. Why don't you come to Indonesia? (twice). Why don't you come Mr. Messi?"
Argentina will visit Jakarta to play Indonesia in a friendly on Monday although Messi is expected to miss the game, June 19.
Messi to miss Indonesia friendly
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is back with Argentina on international duty, but he will play no part in their upcoming friendly against Indonesia in Jakarta, Goal reports.
The 35-year-old superstar will not travel to Jakarta with the rest of the Argentina squad for Monday's game against Indonesia because he will be released early to begin his holiday period after a long season.
Messi will enjoy a break from football before completing his move to Inter Miami as he prepares to begin a new chapter in MLS after leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
