Erling Haaland was caught in an awkward engagement with Phil Foden’s son in a hilarious video that has surfaced on social media.
Manchester City players have been in festive mood from Saturday June ,10, after securing a historic treble in the 2022/23 season.
The club’s first ever Champions League trophy will surely be etched into the minds of all the players who made it happen, including the likes of Haaland and Foden, who had his son on the pitch to celebrate his triumph on Saturday.
In the viral video, Haaland is holding the Champions League trophy, when Foden’s son Ronnie runs up to him.
Quite innocently, little Ronnie can be heard telling Haaland, “I thought you were a girl!”, a statement which clearly caught the Norwegian striker off guard.
The young lad then briefly plays with the Champions League trophy before getting called back to join his dad.
According to The Mirror, Ronnie is Foden’s first of two children who he shares with his girlfriend Rebecca Cooke.
The couple also has a daughter, who was born in 2021.
Haaland for Man City
Since signing from Borussia Dortmund last summer, Haaland has been a revelation for Manchester City.
Despite not scoring in the 1-0 win over Inter, the 22-year-old has been integral for Pep Guardiola’s side.
According to Transfermkt, he has scored 52 goals in 52 appearances for The Citizens.

The 23-year-old added the Champions League to his haul of trophies for his boyhood club. Lewis and Cole Palmer are the other academy graduates to join Foden in the first team this year.
