Black Stars midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has congratulated his son after he emerged as one of the best players in the juvenile league in Spain.
The young Wakaso starred for Club Costa City as they reached the playoffs of the U-12 league.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Wakaso Junior showed enormous talent to win the top award in his division.
His father took to social media to celebrate the achievement, stating how proud he is of his son.
"Another great step son. Keep the fire burning," he wrote on Instagram.
Wakaso missed Ghana's squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar after failing to make Chris Hughton's list, as reported by Ghanafa.org.
The veteran midfielder just completed his loan spell with Belgium outfit KAS Eupen and is expected to return to his parent club, Shenzen FC, in the Chinese Super League.
The 32-year-old has seventy caps for the Black Stars and last played for the national team in the World Cup qualifier against South Africa in 2021.
The former Deportivo Alaves midfielder won the Chinese Super League with the defunct Jiangsu Suning and will be expected to play a key role for Shenzen in the 2023 season.
Wakaso joins Eupen on loan
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that experienced Ghana midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso sealed a season-long loan move to Belgium topflight side KAS Eupen in the summer transfer window.

Wakaso supports Ghanaian journalist
Black Stars midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso, has come to the aid of disabled Ghanaian football commentator, Johnson Antwi, after supporting him with an electronic wheelchair.
The story of Johnson Antwi, a crippled commentator, was brought to light by Tv3 during the Super Two clash between Hearts and Kotoko in June.
In photos posted by Tv3 on Twitter, management of the station presented the items and cash from Wakaso to Antwi.
