A Ghanaian man in the United Kingdom, who goes by the name Michael Boye-Marquaye, has strongly claimed he is the biological father of Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford.

According to Boye-Marquaye, Rashford's mother - Melanie - is not the biological mother of the player.

The UK-based Ghanaian is calling on the player to reach out to him after what he called a 'long back-and-forth' trying to 'establish a relationship' with the English striker.

In a video circulating on social media, Boye-Marquaye stated he had kept quiet about the truth but felt 'things had gone on for far too long'.

"Look, [Rashford] - I am telling you, I am your father," he said in the clip on Twitter. Look, you can say this and that about Melanie, I respect her, and I respect her husband very much, but I have to tell you the truth because if I don't, in future you and your children and your great-grandchildren will be lost."

Some believe the man is pushing to meet the player because of Rashford's fame and wealth, but Boye-Marquaye has strongly denied this is the case.

"I am doing this not because of money, again not money but it is you I want. I am getting very angry but because of you and the respect I have for you, I have kept my mouth shut."

Rashford enjoyed a blistering campaign with Manchester United in the recent campaign, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists in 56 matches, as reported by Transfermarkt.
