Percy Tau Celebrates Winning Champions League in True Mzansi Fashion, Video

The South African attacker and his Al Ahly teammates are still celebrating after winning this season’s CAF Champions League.

As noted by iDiski Times, the Egyptian side beat Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca on aggregate to claim their 11th Champions League title. Al Ahly won the first leg 2-1, while the second leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

Tau finished the campaign with five goals and five assists and was instrumental in the Egyptian side’s success. He also became the first South African player to win two Champions League trophies. Tau previously won the title as a Mamelodi Sundowns player.

The South African was also instrumental in teaching his teammates how to celebrate Msanzi-style.

IOL reported that the South African superstar was seen celebrating the team’s success by dancing around the trophy. His infectious jive soon got his fellow teammates joining in on the act.

Tau’s time with Al Ahly

Tau’s fancy footwork hasn’t only caught the eye of his fellow teammates; it’s also caught the eye of other teams. Since joining the Egyptian side, Tau has won the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, Egyptian Cup, and Egyptian Super Cup.

He has yet to win the Egyptian League, but he could add that to his medal haul this season. Al Ahly are two points behind the leaders, Pyramids, but have six games in hand.

Tau impresses in CAF CL

South African attacker, Percy Tau is once again proving what a talented footballer he is, Sports Brief also reported.

He is enjoying a successful run for Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League and has shown how valuable he can be.

Tau has the highest goal contributions in the tournament with nine, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
