The English giants' latest milestone came on Saturday night when they stunned Inter Milan 1-0 in the Champions League final to secure the coveted crown for the first time in their history.

According to GiveMeSport, Man City's triumph in the Champions League took their trophy haul for major titles to 26, thereby overtaking Chelsea.
The publication reports that only seven categories were used as major competitions in deciding the rankings.
The First Division/Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the European Cup/Champions League, the UEFA Cup/Europa League, the Cup Winners’ Cup, and the Conference League have all been regarded as major competitions, with tournaments like the Community Shield, Intercontinental Cup and FIFA Club World Cup not regarded.
Going by this criteria, City are ranked fourth in the list of Premier League clubs with the most major trophies.
Key among the trophies Pep Guardiola's men have won includes the Premier League (9), the FA Cup (7) and the League Cup, which they have won on eight occasions.
Liverpool ranked top English club
According to the ranking done by Squawka, Liverpool are the most successful English club. The Merseysiders have won eyewatering 45 major trophies, with 19 of those being top flight league titles.
