Real Madrid Set To Raid Chelsea For Experienced Defender Next Summer
- Antonio Rudiger is currently unsettled at Stamford Bridge having already entered the final of his contract
- Chelsea chiefs are believed to have offered him a £120,000-a-week deal but the Germany international is looking for a bigger offer
- Rudiger's contract situation has seen his future with the Blues plunged into uncertainty, with top European clubs now looking to sign him
- Bayern Munich and PSG are among those who have previously been linked, with Real Madrid now interested as well
Real Madrid have reportedly entered the race to sign unsettled Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger is already in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge with his deal set to expire at the end of this season.
Metro UK reports the Germany international has already rejected renewal offers from Chelsea chiefs as he is holding out for a much bigger offer.
It is believed the Blues have already offered him an improved deal of £120,000-a-week, but Rudiger is looking at a much bigger salary.
But with the west Londoners reluctant to offer more, the defender's situation at Stamford Bridge has put a number of European big guns on red alert.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are some of the clubs that the centre-back has already been linked with in the recent past.
Marca now claims Real Madrid are also interested in the services of the centre-back on a free transfer and are willing to kick off negotiations in January.
The La Liga are looking to bolster their defence following the departures of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane and are keen on an experienced replacement with leadership qualities.
Rudiger is believed to tick those boxes per Real standards having played a central role in Chelsea's Champions League triumph last season.
Hazard linked with Chelsea return
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Eden Hazard could reportedly make a stunning return to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea said to be considering a move to end his Real Madrid nightmare.
Hazard made a sensational dream £130million move to Madrid in 2019, but his stint with Los Blancos has largely been disastrous.
The winger has spent the majority of his time at Santiago Bernabeu on the treatment table, with a string of injuries hampering his progress at the club.
Shockingly, the Belgian has missed more games than he has played for Real, and has just one La Liga title to his name which he did not contribute much to.
