Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has replied his critics following his inclusion in the Super Eagles squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Nigeria continue their quest for a ticket to the 2023 AFCON tournament hosted by Ivory Coast in January.
They take on the Leone Stars at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Monrovia on Sunday, June 18, in a penultimate qualifying fixture.
Nigeria top the Group with 9 points, followed by Guinea Bissau, who are on 7 points, while Sierra Leone occupy the third position with 5 points. Sao Tome and Principe are at rock bottom with just one point.
And ahead of the fixture against Sierra Leone, Coach Jose Peseiro named captain Ahmed Musa among the 23-man squad to prosecute the fixture, Soccernet reports.
However, some fans have questioned why the coach invited the Sivasspor of Turkey star for the encounter.
But Musa has taken to social media to post a cryptic message. He wrote:
“Like me or hate me, a day will come that you will tell your kids a story about Ahmed Musa MON.”
Musa rewards 4 staff with houses
Meanwhile, Musa recently rewarded four of his loyal staff with a house each, saying he wants them to forget about rent.
The Sivasspor of Turkey forward has taken his philanthropic gestures to a new level by splashing on apartments on some of his workers.
The 30-year-old later disclosed that as much as he enjoys working closely with the four staff members, letting them have their own homes will make life a lot easier.

FootballPeseiro’s job hangs in the balance
Meanwhile, Nigerian sports stakeholders have urged the Nigerian Football Federation chiefs not to renew the contract of Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro after the expiration of his one-year deal.
The Portuguese has been in charge of the Super Eagles since May 2022, replacing Austin Eguavoen, who failed to qualify Nigeria for the World Cup, losing the play-offs against Ghana.
Under Jose Peseiro, the Super Eagles have played eight games, winning three and losing five, including an embarrassing home loss against Guinea-Bissau.
