FootballMan United Ace Goes on Bizzare Rant on Social Media After Man City Treble, Calls out Ferdinand
- Brandon Williams became the first Manchester United player to react to Manchester City winning the treble
- The 22-year old bizzarely called out Rio Ferdinand or giving credit to Manchester City for their success
- City won the treble to replicate what Manchester United did 24 years earlier
Manchester United full back Brandon Williams aimed a savage dig at Manchester City, moments after the club confirmed a famous treble.
City beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Istanbul on Saturday, June 10 as Pep Guardiola became the first manager to win the treble with two different clubs.
Also, it makes City the first team to win the treble in England since Manchester United famously did the same in 1999 under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Williams, who was born a year after United won the treble, took to his Instagram stories and posted, “Nobody wants a sloppy seconds”, alongside three Red evils emojis.
His dig was a direct reference to United’s 1999 triumph, as the full back suggested Sir Alex Ferguson’s feat was better.
Williams lashes at Ferdinand
The young full back’s rant did not stop there as he went a step further by calling out Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand for congratulating Manchester City on their success.
Ferdinand was working as a pundit for BT Sport, and he did not hesitate to give credit to Pep Guardiola’s side for achieving their feat.
But this did not sit well with Williams, who took to his Instagram with a brutal message, as seen on TalkSport.
"@rioferdy5 Bet you don't congratulate if you was [sic] player keeep [sic] the same morals. [Snoozing face emoji] too [sic] face is boring." Williams wrote.
The United player presumably irked Manchester City fans, who mocked him for his bitter rant; but that did not stop him from clapping back once again.

“Guardiola the best ever”
Sports Brief also reported on Thierry Henry handing Pep Guardiola the ultimate compliment after the Spaniard’s Champions League triumph.
Henry, who briefly worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, declared the Spaniard "the best manager in history", and was adamant the debate was settled.
