The day of the UEFA Champions League final is here as Manchester City and Inter Milan will battle it for the highest club honours in European football.
The Italians will hope to finish an inconsistent season on a high. At the same time, the English champions want to win to complete a historic treble, having already won the Premier League and FA Cup.
UEFA dignitaries, former players and legends of each club are already checking in at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul and making their presence felt around the teams.
Man City's official website confirmed the presence of the club’s top scorer Sergio Aguero at the team training yesterday, while Yaya Toure also confirmed his presence at the stadium.
Fans’ reaction to Toure’s post
The Ivorian midfielder does not have a good relationship with Pep Guardiola, having been sent out of Barcelona and Etihad by the Spanish boss.
According to Bleacher Report, his agent claimed an African curse would prevent Guardiola from winning the Champions League again - after which he has lost two semi-finals and one final.
Toure uploaded a photo of himself in the stadium amid claims his agent has lifted the curse, and fans could not shy away from talking about it.
