Pep Guardiola shared a wonderful moment with his former striker Sergio Aguero ahead of the Champions League final on June 10.
Aguero was at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul as Guardiola put Manchester City through their paces in their last preparations before facing Inter Milan on Saturday night.
Manchester City will be hoping to complete the unprecedented treble by winning their maiden Champions League title. Inter Milan, meanwhile, are back in the final for the first time since they won it in 2010.
Amongst the people who travelled to Turkey to give City support was Aguero, who is undoubtedly the greatest striker in the club's history. As AS reports, the Argentine works as a pundit for ESPN Argentina and was in the stadium at the same time as his former club.
Guardiola approached him and jokingly asked him if he was now taking everyone to Miami. This was after Lionel Messi confirmed he will be joining Inter Miami. Aguero has ties in the American city as he owns a house and has previously trained with Inter Miami.
The Spanish tactician then invited Aguero for dinner between the players and technical staff. The retired striker knows almost every player in the squad, having left two years ago after their Champions League final heartbreak to Chelsea.
Muntari backs Inter to beat City
Sports Brief has also reported that Former Ghana international Sulley Muntari believes Inter Milan have what it takes to beat Manchester City and win the 2023 UEFA Champions League.
The Italian giants head into the final as the underdogs against a City side that eliminated 14 times champions Real Madrid. Manchester City are hoping to win a historic treble, having already clinched the Premier League and the FA Cup.
However, Muntari - a 2010 winner of the UEFA Champions League with Inter - is confident the Nerazurris will stop the English champions.
