Inter Miami is set to witness a massive financial jump from next season after the club revealed Lionel Messi would join the Major League Soccer club next season.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner ended his two-year stint with Paris Saint-Germain but not without the Parisians gaining financially from his time with them.
PSG experienced their jersey sales skyrocket with the arrival of Messi, as it is recorded that the Ligue 1 champions generated over $130M in 2022, selling the Argentine's jerseys.
The sales made by the Ligue 1 club are way above what the highest-earning MLS club generated last year, as Los Angeles FC, who occupies that rank, only yielded $116M in revenue.
Messi was tempted to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami for various reasons, including lifestyle and a deal with big brands such as Apple and Adidas that extend beyond football.
