Manchester United fans breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday, July 4 after the club’s match day squad to play Bournemouth confirmed both Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes were fit to play.

The unconfirmed reports seemed to suggest the pair clashed in training and both suffered knocks thereby making them doubts for the game on Saturday.

Fans were made to wait with bated breaths for the matchday squad as Manchester United did not immediately confirm or deny the rumors.

However, they will be happy to know United is set to start with their typical strong squad, with both midfielders making the starting line up.

United’s side to face the relegation-threatened Cherries include: David De Gea, Aaron Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

The Bruno-Pogba partnership is already paying dividends as Manchester United continue their unbeaten run since the league’s restart on June 17.

Solskjaer prefers the Frenchman commanding deep in midfield and with the addition of Fernandes on the team, Pogba does not need to worry about attacking creativity.

United go into the game two points adrift of Chelsea, who lost in the London derby against Westham on Wednesday.

Victory against the Cherries would spring the Red Devils above Chelsea and level on points with Leicester City.
