Arsenal superstar, Bukayo Saka has paid a courtesy visit to his grandparents in the Oro Irepodun Local Government Area, in Nigeria's Kwara State.
The Gunners star is in Nigeria following the end of the Premier League season as he continues to identify with his roots.
Saka was born on September 5, 2001, in Ealing, London, to Yoruba Nigerian parents, Adenike and Yomi Saka.
The footballer arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday, May 31, following the end of the 2022/2023 football season.
Earlier, he was spotted in Bariga Lagos, where crowds of Arsenal fans showered him with affection.
On Saturday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the Lagos State received the England forward at his office, Best Choice reports.
Sanwo-Olu, who expressed delight over the star's visit, said he was excited to receive a signed shirt from him.
The 21-year-old footballer has since been spotted with his grandparents in Kwara State. Sharing the photo on his Twitter handle, Abdul A Bello wrote:
“Bukayo Saka at ORO, Kwara State with grandparents. Proudly to be Kwara."

Fans have taken to the comment section to react to the emotive images. One said:
“This is not surprising though, most of my school mates from Lagos in high school who came back to school in Ilorin traced their family tree to Oro.”
Another added:
“I always suspected his originally from Kwara considering the name 'Saka'. I even thought he's from Ilorin gangan.”
