Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has shared awesome testimony in church days after helping Nottingham Forest to escape relegation from the Premier League in the just concluded 2022/23 season.

The Nigerian striker was superb in his debut term for Forest scoring 10 goals and he played an important role in helping his club to secure their status for another season in the English top-flight.

His brilliant performance gave his side an incredible win over Arsenal which was the match that made Forest escape relegation.

The Kwara-born striker also scored against Liverpool and Chelsea.

According to a video spotted on Twitter, Awoniyi was seen thanking God and Joshua Selman for helping his football career.

Awoniyi shares a powerful testimony

''The day I was privileged to see Pastor Joshua Selman, he prayed for me and that was the turning point of my life. Every time I used to listen to Daddy's sermon and that has really helped.
''Before the season ended, I went for revival for two days in which I told my wife that I won't be at home and I am that we escaped relegation.''

Meanwhile, Awoniyi is expected to move to Kwara State where he will witness the final of the Unicorn Academy football tournament.

Taiwo Awoniyi bags UK Degree

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian international Taiwo Awoniyi completed his degree program at the Buckinghamshire New University, Wycombe, United Kingdom.

According to close sources, the Nottingham Forest striker bagged a degree in Business Management.

Nigerian journalist Ojora Babatunde took to Twitter to celebrate the former Liverpool player on Wednesday, September 7.

Awoniyi bagged the degree a few days after his fellow in the Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi also got done with his studies.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi has completed his degree program with De Montfort University in Leicester in the UK.
