Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal have announced the departure of Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo after almost two years since the former Manchester United player joined the club.
During his stay at the club, the Nigerian striker played an important role in their Asian Champions League campaign and also in the Club World Cup even though they did not win any.
In his final season with Al Hilal, Odion Ighalo scored 21 goals and created two assists for the Saudi Arabian side.
According to the official statement the club made on their official Twitter page, they wished Ighalo the best in his future.
Ighalo also struck the back of the net on 43 occasions and came up with seven other assists in 59 games for the club since joining them.
Ighalo nets Four Goals
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Odion Ighalo on Sunday, 26 February, scored four goals for Al-Hilal in their massive 7-0 win over Al-Duhail to reach the final of the Asian Champions League in stunning fashion.
Since making a return back to the Saudi Arabian League, Ighalo has been in fine form for his side in which some Manchester United fans have even been clamoring for his return.
The Nigerian spent one season at Old Trafford scoring some incredible goals before he left the Premier League.
Al-Hilal started the match impressively and waited for only two minutes before Ighalo opened the scoring and the Nigerian got his brace in the 10th minute of the encounter.
