Luigi De Siervo hails Kvaratskhelia

“With 12 goals and 10 assists, Kvaratskhelia was one of the leading players for the Azzurri, who won the Scudetto and made many fans and lovers of beautiful football dream.''

Sports Brief spoke with Nigerian journalist Bayour Issah who claimed that Victor Osimhen should have been named as the Serie A best player.

''For me and many other football fans, I want to believe that Osimhen deserves the award more than Kvaratskhelia because his goals helped Napoli to win the title.''

Youths in Osimhen’s hood

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how youths of Olusosun in the Ojota area of the Lagos State are preparing to celebrate Napoli’s first Serie A title in more than three decades - by splashing the cash on a cow.

One of their own, Victor Osimhen scored 25 goals in the Italian top flight, leading the Partenopei to their third Scudetto since the club was founded in 1926.

The victory has sparked celebrations among fans of the club around the world, including Olusosun, where the striker grew up.

Osimhen, who was born in Lagos, grew up in the Ojota area and his friends, under the umbrella of 'Olusosun to the World', have set out a date to celebrate one of their own.
