Bayern Munich are already suffering the consequences of having a below-average season this term after seeing a massive drop in the number of its players invited to the national team.

The Bavarians were crowned Bundesliga champions for the 11th consecutive season, but Germany coach, Hansi Flick has not been impressed with the quality displayed.

Bayern Munich only had four players called up by Hansi Flick for Germany’s upcoming international slate of matches in June as the qualifies for Euro 2024 begins.

Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka, plus attackers Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala, are just the four to earn a national team call-up, while the likes of Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer all missed out.

Borussia Dortmund stars, Nicklas Sule, Marko Reus, Youssoufa Moukoko and Karim Adeyemi all failed to make the national team in Hansi Flick’s latest list for Germany’s upcoming games, SB Nation reports.

Notably, Serge Gnabry was omitted along with Christian Gunter, Mergim Berisha, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Mergim Berisha, Felix Nmecha, and Mario Gotze.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Germany coach Hansi Flick named a 26-man squad for this summer's friendlies on Friday, with Antonio Ruediger, Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan among eight returnees.
