According to reports from El Larguero, the bad relationship between the compatriots is a growing concern in the Spanish National Team.

The captains of the team reportedly side with the Barcelona protege and have spoken in favour of him in the dressing room. Ceballos, thus, appears to be the one who will bear the brunt.

Ceballos and Gavi fight history

The history between the two players goes back to the Clasico in January when the Real Madrid star pulled Gavi’s hair in the middle of the field in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.

The incident did not go down well in the Catalan dressing room, and the youngster struck back at Ceballos with a spiteful off-the-ball push in a subsequent Clasico.

Spain manager Luis de La Fuente urged the duo to talk out their differences in his first training camp after taking over.

The coach believed that the midfielders had made peace, but that does not appear to be the case.

“Ceballos and Gavi have shown exceptional human quality. They are going to give their lives for each other," La Fuente told the Marca during an interview earlier this year.
