The Spanish-born tactician claimed the prestigious prize after guiding the Citizens to win the English top-flight title at the end of the 2020-21 season.

During the cause of their campaign last term, Guardiola made history after his team became the first club to win the trophy despite finding themselves eighth on the table on Christmas Day.
However, guiding his side to a 15-match winning streak helped them upstaged Liverpool to emerge victorious in the league eventually.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has now joined Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho as the only coaches to have won the prize three times, while only Sir Alex Ferguson has more.
Meanwhile, the three men are also the only managers in the history of the EPL who can match Guardiola's three title wins.
Pep outshined managers like Marcelo Bielsa, David Moyes, Brendan Rodgers, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to win the award this season.
Also, Man City star Ruben Dias was voted the Player of the Season, Phil Foden won the Hublot Young Player of the Season and Liam Delap named the PL2 Player of the Season.
Ruben Diaz wins Premier League award
Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been named Premier League player of the 2020-21 season.
The 24-year-old Portuguese became an instant success after joining the Etihad Stadium outfit from Benfica last September in a deal worth £61.64 million.
He beats competition from Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, West Ham's Tomas Soucek, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to the award after an outstanding debut season in England.
