Afrobeat sensation, Rema left some Barcelona players starstruck after the Nigerian singer visited the newly crowned La Liga champions at their training base in Spain.
Barcelona reached the top echelon of Spanish football again this season after they outwitted arch-rivals, Real Madrid to claim the top flight league title for the 27th time in the club's history.
According to The Guardian, Rema - who had performed in Miami just two nights earlier with Wizkid and Fireboy - surprised the Barcelona players by showing up at their training base.
Ousmane Dembele, Franck Kessie, Ansu Fati, Jules Kounde, and the injured Alejandro Balde all posed for a photo with the Nigerian singer, with the players all looking starstruck at his presence.
Barcelona will wrap its 2022/23 campaign when the Catalan giants visit Celta Vigo on Sunday, June 4, before releasing their players on holiday for the summer break.
Barcelona set to offload Kessie
Meanwhile, Barcelona wants to offload Ivorian midfielder, Kessie during the summer transfer window to lower the Catalan club’s wage bill, SempreInter reports.
The 26-year-old former AC Milan midfielder has yet to cement a place in the starting eleven under Xavi and could leave Camp Nou this summer, with Inter Milan reported to be interested in him.
Kessie still desires to stay at Barcelona next season and fight for his place; however, the Catalans believe a summer departure would be the best for both parties.
Kounde ready to quit Barcelona
Earlier, Sports Brief reported the club are said to be shocked about French defender, Kounde seeking to leave Barcelona just days after being crowned La Liga champion.
