Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze who currently plays for Spanish giants Villarreal has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid this summer.
There have been reports that Los Blancos' chiefs are planning to sign the Nigerian star so as to bolster their squad for next season in all competitions after they failed to retain Champions League and La Liga titles.
Chukwueze has been outstanding this season for Villarreal even though he has managed to score 13 goals in all competitions for the Yellow Submarine.
According to the report on Soccernet and El Pais, Chukwueze explained that he is committed to fire on for Villarreal in the coming Spanish La Liga season.
Chukwueze is not interested in Real Madrid
“That’s just noise. My dream is to play again in Europe with Villarreal. I have a contract until 2024, and I hope not to be free. The Roigs have behaved very well with me. They are like my family. The right thing is for me to leave good money in this club.”
With one game to end the season in Spanish La Liga, Chukwueze and his teammates at Villarreal are currently occupying fifth position on the table and will play Europa League next term.
Villarreal celebrates Samuel Chukwueze
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how La Liga giants, Villarreal celebrated their Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze, for making his 200th appearance for the team in all competitions since signing on several years back.
The club has hailed the Super Eagles man for his landmark achievement.
It was on April 27 that Chukwueze marked his double-century game for the Spanish side against Espanyol, which ended in a 4-2 win for the 'Yellow Submarine'.
