While they went on to see off David Moyes' men with a 2-1 win, it was not enough to safeguard their Premier League status.

According to the Evening Standard, Leicester’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed after Bournemouth lost to the Toffees.

Leicester fans fight each other

The Sun reports that images from Leicester's clash against West Ham have emerged, showing the home fans fighting each other in the stands.

The fans could be seen being forced apart from each other as tempers flared.

It remains unclear what sparked the altercation, as the hosts were on course to secure an important win.

Meanwhile, Leicester's relegation to the Championship saw them become only the second team in Premier League history to get relegated after winning the English Premier League title.

Blackburn Rovers are the only other team who have previously suffered a similar fate.

Chelsea troll Leeds after relegation

Leeds United’s return to the Premier League ended yesterday after just three years, as they were beaten 4-1 at home by Tottenham Hotspur.

As Sports Brief reported, Chelsea added insult to Leeds' injury with a brutal three-word tweet after the Whites taunted the Blues earlier in the season.

Chelsea endured an underwhelming season, but will look ahead to the next under their new boss Mauricio Pochettino, whose appointment is set to be made official in the next few days.
