Everton emerged the winners of the tie as they secured a 1-0 win courtesy of Abdoulaye Doucouré's solitary goal scored in the second half of the match.

However, the match was punctuated with tense moments, with players clashing midway through the encounter.
Sportbible reports that the mass brawl was sparked by Dominic Solanke, who tried to hold Jordan Pickford to the floor in an intense goalmouth scramble.
Mina was first to arrive on the scene and seemed to bite Solanke in a bizarre turn of events.
The Cherries ace went on to seek the intervention of the referee by showing off his battle of scars which appeared to have red marks.
However, Stuart Atwell showed little interest in Solanke's cries and allowed the game to continue after he restored calm.
While Mina went unpunished, both Solanke and Pickford were booked after the incident.
