FootballMudryk Misses Absolute Sitter Against Manchester United, Fans Think They Know Why
- Mykhailo Mudryk spurned a glorious chance to score for Chelsea last night
- The £88m signing fluffed his lines on the end of a beautiful cross from academy full-back Lewis Hall
- Fans have postulated a theory about what was on his mind before he missed the chance
Mykhailo Mudryk’s woes at Chelsea continue, after another poor performance against Manchester United in the 4-1 loss at Old Trafford last night.
The Ukrainian winger has struggled since he completed a £88m move from Shakhtar Donetsk to London in January, and he is yet to find the back of the net.
He has, however, been involved in some controversy from the buildup of his transfer, where he openly professed love for rivals Arsenal. However, he eventually put pen to paper at Stamford Bridge.
According to SportBible, he appeared low on confidence as he failed to convert a big chance last night. He made a mess of a cross that was served on a platter by academy star Lewis Hall.
Fans’ theory on Mudryk’s miss
The 22-year-old is not the only struggling player at Chelsea. Besides Enzo Fernandez, who has been putting in a shift, most new signings are struggling. But Mudryk is the only one who can not stay out of trouble with his social media activity.
According to talkSPORT, US fitness influencer, Joey Swoll called out Mudryk after he filmed and uploaded an older man having a wardrobe malfunction at the gym.
Fans think Swoll got into his head, making him ineffective in front of the goal.
One fan wrote:
''Joey Swoll 1-0 Mudryk.''
A second added:
''Mudryk was too busy thinking about Joey Swoll to shoot.''
Another added:
''Mudryk went from getting violated by Joey Swoll to missing an open goal in the space of a day.''
A fourth tweeted:
''Mudryk definitely saw that Joey Swoll video of him getting cooked.''

FootballSports Brief reported that fans cooked Mudryk on social media after he posted the video of the man on his Instagram story.
They were not too impressed with how he goes about his social media activities, and that was before Joey Swoll waded into the situation and made it more pronounced.
On the same day, another post on his Instagram page got Chelsea fans thinking that he was hinting at unrest in London and wanted to return to Donetsk.
