Jose Mourinho has named, Tottenham Hotspur, as the only club of the nine he has managed in his career that he does not have a “close bond."
The legendary Portuguese manager was in charge of Tottenham between November 2019 and April 2021 when he was kicked out unceremoniously.
According to ESPN, Spurs showed Mourinho the door after 17 months in charge and with just a week before the EFL Cup final.
At the time, the north Londoners had endured a disastrous run of form that had seen them slip down the Premier League table as well as crash out of the Europa League.
Mourinho aims dig at Tottenham
The Roma boss recently reflected on his managerial career but did not have kind words for his former employer, Tottenham.
Mourinho openly criticised the club and bluntly pointed out that the London club are the only club he does not have great feelings for of the nine he has managed.
“The only club I’ve coached in my career that I don’t have great feelings for is Tottenham," The Sun quoted the 60-year-old saying.
“I hope that I will not be misunderstood by the Tottenham fans, but it is the only club that I do not have a close relationship with," he added.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has enjoyed a glittering managerial career spanning more than two decades.
During this period, the Portuguese has been in charge of some of the best teams in Europe, including Chelsea, Man United, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.
