Bukayo Saka has opened up on the atmosphere within the Arsenal dressing room after they lost the Premier League title.
The Gunners looked on course to secure this season's Premier League crown after a dominant run of form that had seen them top the standings for the better part of the campaign.
However, Mikel Arteta's charges fell short in that attempt, with a string of poor performances and results in the closing stages of the season denying them the opportunity to lift the trophy.
The north Londoners enjoyed an eight-point lead at the top of the standings at some point before everything came crashing down.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal's hopes of beating Man City to glory were ended on Saturday after their defeat to Nottingham Forest.
City were subsequently crowned champions on Sunday, in what was their fifth Premier League triumph in six years.
Saka speaks on Arsenal's EPL loss
While Arsenal's Premier League title loss is understood to have left the Arsenal camp heartbroken, Saka has, for the first time, lifted the lid on the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking after penning a new lucrative contract with the Gunners, Saka disclosed that the squad is upbeat and confident the club is heading in the right direction.
“I have seen a lot of change. I’ve seen this team and the club grow, and one thing that everyone around us can be excited about is that we are going in the right direction," Saka told Arsenal's official website.

Saka becomes best-paid Arsenal star
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has become the club's highest earner after penning a new lucrative deal at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka's current contract with the Gunners was set to expire at the end of the ongoing season, leaving his future at the club in doubt.
However, all that has been put to rest after the Englishman committed his future with the Gunners on Tuesday, May 23, when he signed a contract with the north Londoners.
