Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stunning goal from outside the box to help Al-Nassr complete their comeback against Al-Shabab, keeping his side's faint title hopes alive, with two games remaining.
Ronaldo's strike, his 14th goal in the Saudi Pro League, proved to be the match-winner for Dinko Jelicic's side, beating Al-Shabab 3-2 in an enthralling five-goal thriller at the Mrsool Park.
Argentine midfielder, Cristian Guanca broke the game's deadlock via the penalty spot after 25 minutes to silence the home crowd. He further compounded Al-Nassr's woes when he gave the visitors a two-nil lead after ex-Valencia forward Santi Mina served Guanca on a plate five minutes before recess.
However, Talisca, Al Nassr's top scorer, halved the deficit on the stroke of halftime after he was teed up by Al-Hassan. The latter was on hand to provide another decisive assist for the equalizing goal from Abdulrahman Ghareeb.
Ronaldo then took matters into his own hands when he fired home an unstoppable drive from the edge of the box to complete the fightback, lifting the roof of the stadium as the home crowd cheered.
Despite the win, the Knights of Nahd remain three points adrift leaders of Al Ittihad, who lead the Saudi League table with two games to spare.
