Vinicius Junior is not holding back in his lambasting of the La Liga authorities, after releasing a new statement citing the various times he has had to battle racist abuse in the league.
The 22-year-old Brazilian received sympathy from football stakeholders around the globe when he was subjected to more racism during Real Madrid’s La Liga tie against Valencia on Sunday, May 21.
According to Sky News, Vinicius revealed he had received death threats across various cities in Spain, also claiming the authorities in Spain had done nothing to address these issues.
"Every round away from home is an unpleasant surprise. And there were many this season. Death wishes, hanged doll, many criminal screams... All registered," his comments were translated as saying.
Vini Jr. denied these were isolated incidents or simply singular fan incidents.
"The problem is very serious and communications no longer work. Not blaming me to justify criminal acts either. You are not football, you are inhuman," he added.
Valencia police say they have identified a fan who made racist gestures toward Vinicius and stated that person faces a lifetime ban from the Mestalla Stadium.
Spanish FA sacks six referees
Meanwhile, following the alleged racist abuse of Real Madrid forward, Vini Jr., the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Technical Committee of Referees fired six VAR referees, Sport Bible reports.
The report justified the decision to fire the officials by claiming the images given to on-field referee, De Burgos Bengoechea - which ultimately resulted in Vini's red card - were incomplete.

The racial taunts the Brazilain received from Valencia supporters during his team's 1-0 loss on Sunday have garnered widespread attention.
Despite the incident not being an isolated one, it looks like Vini will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium to fight the problem from within.
