Former Arsenal star, Richard Wright has risked the wrath of Gunners supporters after he was spotted celebrating with Manchester City after their English Premier League triumph.

City were crowned league champions for the fifth time under Pep Guardiola on May 21, shortly after their 1-0 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola's charges secured the prestigious trophy with three games to spare following Arsenal's 1-0 painful defeat at Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners were in a pole position to beat City to the title, owing to their dominance for the better part of the campaign.

However, this was not the case, with Arsenal's disastrous run in recent weeks ultimately costing them the crown, per OneFootball.

Ex-Arsenal star at City's celebrations

To further compound Arsenal's disappointment, a former Gunners star was spotted joining Man City in their title celebrations.

According to The Sun, Wright was part of the Citizens' title party, with the ex-player seen in the company of Guardiola and the staff contingent.

Complete with a Man City shirt, Wright looked rather unrecognisable with his silver hair and beard. The 45-year-old was David Seaman's deputy at the Emirates Stadium during his stint with the north Londoners.

The former goalkeeper was part of Arsenal's title-winning team during the 2001/02 campaign, playing 22 times that season.

Mendy watches City lift PL

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Benjamin Mendy’s rare appearance as Manchester City lifted the Premier League trophy once again.

The Frenchman has not played for the Citizens for over a year after he was suspended by the club over still-looming charges of assault.

Mendy was spotted at a restaurant in the company of two friends. The left-back was spotted watching City lift the title from his phone.
