A section of Manchester United fans has called for the suspension of Erling Haaland from their FA Cup final tie after the Norwegian used the 'f' word live on TV.

Haaland has been an integral member of Manchester City's success this season, with the youngster contributing heavily to their Premier League title triumph.

The 22-year-old has netted an eyewatering 36 top-flight goals so far, and could add to his tally in City's two remaining matches before the end of the season.

The former Borussia Dortmund found himself in hot water on Sunday after he shouted the 'f' word during City's title celebrations.

According to talkSPORT, Haaland dropped a certain curse word when interrupting Jack Grealish’s interview with Sky Sports, as the star forward showed his affection for the Englishman.

United fans want Haaland banned

Some United fans are now calling for the banning of the Norway international after his expletive-filled show of affection for Grealish, and have cited Wayne Rooney as an example.

Back in 2011, Rooney was slapped with a two-game ban after he swore down the barrel of the camera following his goal in a 4-2 victory over West Ham.

The ban saw the ex-forward miss Man United's FA Cup semi-final clash with rivals City, a match the Cityzens won as they went on to secure the trophy.

The Sun reports that some fans want the same punishment applied to Haaland.

The Norwegian hotshot was involved in a heartwarming moment with City fans as he was caught on camera leaving an on-pitch interview to join supporters in a dance.

Sky Sports had managed to get hold of the striker for an interview before the incident happened.
