Vinicius Junior received his first career straight red card during a chaotic La Liga match between Real Madrid and Valencia.
Vini has been Madrid's stand-out player all season in what has been a disappointing campaign for Los Blancos, which was highlighted in their 5-1 aggregate thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.
While the Brazilian winger has been a joy to Madridistas, he has been a thorn in the flesh of opposition fans, with some resorting to various forms of heckling to try and destabilize him.
Chief among the heckles Vini has suffered has been persistent racial abuse which was brought to the fore for the umpteenth time this season in Madrid's match day 35 La Liga tie with Los Che at the Mestalla.
Vinicius suffers abuse
According to GOAL, the 22-year-old experienced a distressing situation at the Mestalla stadium, where he faced an unfortunate display of discriminatory comments and actions from the spectators.
Determined to address the issue, the Brazilian promptly identified the individuals responsible, resulting in a temporary halt of the game.

Officials warned the crowd that the match would be suspended unless their behaviour improved. Although the game resumed, it took a sour turn during stoppage time when Vinicius received a red card for his involvement in an unpleasant altercation, where he inadvertently struck Hugo Duro's face with his arm.
It was the first time the zippy winger had received a straight red card in his career, per ESPN.
