FootballFootball Fans All Say One Thing As Borussia Dortmund Move Closer to Winning Bundesliga Title
- The Bundesliga is set for a photo finish this season
- Borussia Dortmund are currently leading the league log with two points heading into the final day
- Bayern Munich will hope their title rivals slip up at Mainz while they fulfill their part of the bargain at FC Koln
Borussia Dortmund inched closer to winning its first Bundesliga title since 2012 after beating Augsburg three-nil to go top of the standings, moving two points clear of Bayern Munich.
A Sebastien Haller double fused and a last-gasp strike from Julian Brandt means Dortmund will head into the final day of the Bundesliga season at the summit of the table, usurping the ten-time defending champions in the process.
The Yellow and Blacks had all the necessary motivation going into their penultimate match of the season after Bayern slipped to a shock 3-1 home defeat to RB Leipzig on Saturday, May 20, per MARCA.
After struggling to crack open the Augsburg defence in the first half, Haller, who was signed as Erling Haaland's replacement, pounced on a defensive lapse to fire Dortmund into the lead just before the hour mark, Eurosport reports.
Haller's goal spurred Edin Terzic's men on as the Ivorian striker notched his second of the game before Brandt added the cherry on the cake in stoppage time to put the result beyond any reasonable doubt.

Thomas Tuchel's team travel to Koln on the final day of the season, but wins for Dortmund over Augsburg and at home to Mainz next weekend would secure their first title since 2012.
