Erling Haaland has expressed his delight after winning the Premier League title in his first season in the English top flight with Manchester City.
City were confirmed English champions for the third straight season following Arsenal's humbling defeat against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, May 20.
The Gunners' loss meant they stood no chance mathematically to catch up with Man City, who are currently leading the log with 85 points.
According to The Mirror, City had the chance to wrap up the title later Sunday with a positive result against Chelsea, but will now play that match knowing the trophy will remain at the Etihad.
This will be Haaland's first trophy with Man City since he sealed his stunning move to the Premier League with City in the summer of 2022.
Haaland reacts to EPL title triumph
A delighted Haaland could hardly hide his joy upon City being confirmed as this season's Premier League champions.
The Norwegian hotshot took to social media shortly after to share his excitement by sharing a poster of Man City's glory with the caption:
"Always give your best. Always believe. It pays off. C'MON CITY!"
Haaland has himself played a central role in helping City retain the crown, with the star forward having a record-breaking debut season in the EPL.
The ex-Dortmund superstar has scored an eyewatering 36 goals in the English top flight so far this season.
