Jose Peseiro has reportedly made it clear to the Nigerian Football Chiefs that he is ready to cut down his monthly salary for him to remain as the coach of the Super Eagles after the expiration of his one-year deal.
The Portuguese tactician was hired in May 2022 by the former NFF board shortly after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
Since Peseiro took over as the coach of the Super Eagles from Austin Eguavoen, the former Venezuela gaffer has only won three games out of eight losing five.
The new NFF board under Ibrahim Gusau is said to be struggling to get funds to run the affairs of all the national teams and they are cutting their cost.
According to the report on Soccernet, Jose Peseiro is ready to lower his salary for him to continue as the coach.

Jose Peseiro is on a $70,000-per-month deal with the NFF chiefs.
