Cristiano Ronaldo is optimistic about the chances of Al-Nassr winning the Saudi Pro League after inspiring his side to a crucial win against Al Ta'ee on Tuesday evening.
Scoring in a 2-0 victory for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has expressed his determination to clinch the Saudi Pro League title this season, indicating that he has not yet abandoned hope with three games to spare.
Following Al Ittihad's thrilling draw with Al Hilal in the Saudi Clasico, Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have closed the gap between themselves and the table-topping Ittihad, informing Cristiano's defiant stance.
The 38-year-old took to the photo-sharing App Instagram to send a strong signal of Al-Nassr not giving up their title aspirations.
"Important win tonight, three more games ahead!" he wrote as quoted by GOAL. "We keep believing until the end."
What's next for Ronaldo's Al-Nassr?
In a space of eight days, Al-Nassr will hope to win their final three matches of the season. A home game against third-placed Al-Shabab on May 23, before heading to Dammam to face Al-Etiffaq four days later in their penultimate game.
They will then wrap up what has been a topsy-turvy campaign with a home fixture against Al Fateh on May 31.
Al-Nassr's slim title aspirations
For context, Al-Nassr's destiny is not in their own hands, with Al Ittihad having the advantage in their head-to-head with the Riyadh-based club, Sky Sports reports.
In the event current league leaders, Ittihad finish level on points with Al Nassr, the first tie-breaker in the Saudi Pro League is head-to-head between the two clubs, which Ittihad have the upper hand, securing four points in their two games this season.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo hit a unique landmark on Tuesday, May 16, with his goal for Al-Nassr against Al-Ta'ee in the Saudi Arabian top flight.
The 38-year-old scored from the penalty spot to end his four-game goal drought after the referee consulted the VAR following a challenge in the box.
Despite it being his first goal in four games, Ronaldo took his overall career penalty tally to 152 spot kicks - the most in history.
