Former Premier League player, Ally McCoist, who now works as a pundit, has praised Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen for his superb and incredible performances that helped crown Napoli champions of Italy this term.

After waiting for 33 years, Osimhen and his teammates have given Napoli fans something to be proud of - the Scudetto title - which they won with three games left to the end of the season.

With 23 goals registered, Osimhen is currently the leading scorer in Italy, and the Super Eagles star is now on the verge of breaking a mighty record: becoming the first Nigerian to land the Serie A Golden Boot.

According to reports on talkSPORT and Caughtoffside, Ally McCoist explained that Osimhen is the only striker in the last 10 years that reminds him of Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba.

"He's the only striker I've seen in the last 10 years that reminds me a little of Didier Drogba. He has a compliment for him and is definitely a fantastic player.''

Meanwhile, Premier League side, Chelsea are said to be ready to offer Napoli big money to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Real Madrid want Victor Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief reported how Real Madrid reportedly joined the race to sign Osimhen from Napoli. Los Blancos want the Nigerian man as a replacement for their star, Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman is in the latter stages of his career and the club is looking for a successor for the 35-year-old, who has been an essential player at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium for years.

Osimhen has been incredible this season in all competitions and many clubs will be looking for his signature this summer, even though Napoli made it clear they do not want to sell him.
