  • Erling Haaland shared a picture of the food he was eating after a Premier League game on Sunday
  • The apparently homemade meal elicited reactions from fans who couldn't understand what it was
  • Manchester City's Norwegian superstar has, in the past, revealed he eats almost six times per day

Fans online have reacted to a photo Erling Haaland shared on Instagram, hours after helping Manchester City beat Everton 3-0 on May 14.

Haaland was among the goals as City recorded an 11th consecutive win to edge closer to defending their Premier League title for a third successive time.

It was his 36th goal of the season in the top flight in his maiden season in England.

Haaland's diet as a professional

He has broken a couple of records since he fully burst onto the scene at RB Salzburg, before his journey took him to Germany with Borussia Dortmund.

Given the big star he is in world football at the moment, there have always been questions about what Haaland's diet looks like.

He shared a picture of what fans believe to be beef liver but the picture did not go down well with a couple of fans on Twitter.

"I've looked at this for 10 minutes now and I can’t even begin to understand what it’s supposed to be"

@DonBabaYoss said:

"What the hell does this guy eat."

Haaland himself had captioned the photo:

"That's bloody lovely!"

The Sun reports that the 22-year-old loves Chinese food and kebab pizza. He has also admitted that he likes eating lasagna prepared by his father, Alfie Haaland, who is usually close to him at all times.

The junior Haaland is currently preparing for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium on May 17.

Both sides are balanced at one-all but the Norwegian will be hoping for a better outing than the one he had in Madrid.

Haaland shows alleged Mina scars

At the same time, Sports Brief reported that Pep Guardiola was furious with Yerry Mina, an Everton defender, despite Man City's 3-0 victory at Goodison Park.

The Spanish manager was said to be unhappy with the methods used to mark Haaland after the Norwegian showed off the battle scars he sustained during the game.

The two lanky players were involved in a feisty battle all afternoon on the pitch, with centre referee, Anthony Taylor having to diffuse the tension a couple of times.
