Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has slammed Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu for his inability to save Southampton from relegation to the Championship from the Premier League.
After 11 years of maintaining their status in the English top flight, the Saints bid the Premier League farewell on Saturday, May 13, after suffering a 2-0 home defeat against visiting Fulham.
Even though Ruben Selles and his players still have two more games to play this term in the Premier League, the results they will get in those two fixtures are of no importance.
The players are expected to only play for pride before they join the waiting bus that will take them to the Championship.

Paul Onuachu failed to shine
Before Paul Onuachu was signed in January by Southampton, the Nigerian was scoring goals in the Belgian League and that was the reason he was brought to England.
However, he did not find it rosy in England as he failed to score any goal for Southampton in the Premier League.
According to the reports on Allnigeriansoccer and Daily Post, Hargreaves was not happy with the performance of Onuachu.
What Hargreaves said about Onuachu
“When you think about Sulemana he didn’t do anything. Onuachu did not do anything. It was a nice idea but it didn’t work out for them.”

FootballPaul Onuachu scores four goals
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored all four goals for Genk as they defeated Sporting Charleroi 4-1 in a crucial Belgian Pro League encounter.
The Nigerian international opened his account in the game from the penalty spot and then completed his brace before halftime.
Onuachu then found the back of the net again in the 71st minute before scoring a fourth in stoppage time.
The Nigerian has now made history as the first Genk player to score four goals in a single game since 2003.
