It was also gathered, as per iDiski Times, that Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri, was also contacted to possibly take up the plum job.
A source told iDiski Times:
"What I know of, the lawyer of Allegri was contacted by the club, Ahli and trying to bring Allegri to Saudi Arabia an, Al Nassr are also interested in him,"
"But it’s not certain Ahli will look for a new coach, they did speak to Vladimir Petković too, but we don’t know… really this club is so unpredictable.
"They can at the last minute say we will keep Mosimane, and in the next hour, they will say we’re taking a European coach, it’s bizarre what’s happening, but it is what it is you know."

FootballMosimane gets FIFA recognition
Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Pitso Mosimane is starting to get the global recognition he deserves.
The Al-Ahli Saudi coach was recently given a 'shout-out' by world football's governing body for his work at Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC previously, and the miracle work he has enacted in Saudi Arabia.
The organisation recognised his achievement of leading Al Ahli Saudi from the Middle Eastern country's second tier to the Saudi Pro League, with the status of Saudi First Division League champions now being up for grabs as a sweetener.
