FootballAmad Diallo: On loan Man United star helps Sunderland inch closer to promotion with stunner
- Amad Diallo stole the show during Sunderland’s game against Luton town on Saturday
- The youngster, on loan from Manchester United, scored a stunning goal as Sunderland beat Luton town 2-1
- United are reportedly keen on including Diallo in the squad for the FA Cup final next month
Amad Diallo continued his fine form at Sunderland on loan from Manchester United as he scored a stunner in the play offs first leg against Luton Town.
The Black Cats have been impressive in the Championship, and a late season floury saw them creep into the play off places.
Their first hurdle in their quest to make the play offs final was third-place Luton Town, and manager Tony Mowbray fielded a fairly young side on Saturday, May 13, including Diallo.
Luton took the lead through Elijah Adebayo in what was a bad start by Sunderland.
But Sunderland, as they have done on so many occasions this season , found the equalizer through Diallo, who came up with a pearler from just outside the box.
The Manchester United loanee placed a beautiful shot past the Luton goalkeeper in a short-free kick routine, sending the internet into meltdown.

Trai Hume, then completed Sunderland’s comeback with a goal in the 63rd minute, and the Black Cats will now head into the second leg on Tuesday with a slender advantage.
How fans reacted

“He has to start for us next season, surely,
While @Povertykiller added:
“Amad, Mason Greenwood and Garnacho have proven that you dont need half an hour to show your mentality and quality. Sancho is far behind. Next season we must cook with these 3, Sanchoo must go for mental sessions for a season.”

Interestingly, back at Old Trafford, another youngster, Alejandro Garnacho, also showed some promise with a goal against Wolves.
Garnacho came from the bench to score an impressive goal as United went level on points with third-placed Newcastle with a 2-0 win.
