FootballBurnley Chairman Says Manager Kompany Is Like a 'Beautiful Girl' in Bizarre Analogy
- Vincent Kompany was recently likened to a ‘beautiful girl’ by the Burnley chairman
- Kompany led the club back to the Premier League after taking control last summer
- His chairman admitted he was unsure Kompany would stay at the club for very long
Burnley chairman, Alan Pace recently used a hilariously bizarre analogy to explain Vincent Kompany’s situation at the club.
Under Kompany, Burnley gained promotion back to the Premier League after winning the Championship title with an impressive 101 points.
The former Manchester City man’s style of play at the Clarets has attracted a number of suitors, with Burnley fearful they might lose their manager after his triumph in England’s second tier.
According to the BBC, Kompany signed a new five-year deal in May, but that may not be enough to keep him.

Burnley chief makes Kompany analogy
While speaking to the BBC, Burnley chairman, Alan Pace was brutally honest with his take on Burnley’s chances of retaining their gaffer.
"It's not a worry for me that I'm going to ever fire him, because that's a different story” he stated.
"My worry is, as I've tried to explain to him, is it's like dating the most beautiful girl in town, and knowing there's probably no chance she'll ever marry you.
To expand on his analogy, Pace said it was as if the girl had many marriage suitors.
"So it's like, how long can you date, how long can you stay together, how long can you stay a couple?"
Pace has been crucial in Burnley’s recruitment in recent years and his move for Kompany, who previously managed Anderlecht, proved to be a good risk.
