Gerrard recommends Barella to Liverpool
Italian midfielder, Nicolo Barella was a force in Inter’s midfield, as they dominated the Rossoneri to put themselves in the driver’s seat ahead of the second leg next week.
“He’s creative, he can nick important goals,” Gerrard told BT Sport, via Mirror UK, about the former Cagliari midfielder.
“I watched him against England in Naples, and he was involved in all parts of the game. He did really well against the England midfield - Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. He’s also at a good age, coming into his prime."
Gerrard also commended Barella for his great feet, tenacity, and ability to tackle.
“In the first game, he was the difference. There are many, many admirers, Liverpool being one at the moment,” he added.
