Wayne Rooney has predicted doom and gloom for Real Madrid ahead of their blockbuster UEFA Champions League semifinal showdown with Manchester City on Tuesday, May 9.

"Manchester City will not only beat Real Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League, but they are going to destroy them," he wrote via MARCA.
The current DC United manager acknowledges Real Madrid's record and history in the competition but states that Man City are clear favourites to go through to the final, per Mirror.
"Of course, I could be wrong, but I think City are on another level," he added.
"You can never rule out a team with Real Madrid's experience and history, but I wouldn't bet on them. I think this is City's year.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes has singled out Manchester City striker Erling Haaland for praise ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first-leg tie.
Haaland is the top scorer in this year's Champions League, scoring 12 goals in just eight appearances this season.

“Haaland scores a lot of goals, no one knows how to stop him. I hope he doesn’t score against us.
