- The Dutchman has recorded nine defeats so far with the Red Devils, with the losses higher than those recorded by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
- Solskjaer spent more than two years at the helm of affairs at Old Trafford as the manager before he was sacked in 2021
A shocking stat has emerged showing that Manchester United are worse under Erik ten Hag than former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer was appointed United's permanent manager in March 2019 to replace Jose Mourinho, who had been sacked after a string of poor performances.
While the Red Devils legend was handed a three-year contract at the time, he was only able to last under two years at the helm of affairs at Old Trafford.
According to Sky Sports, Ole's sacking came after an "embarrassing" 4-1 defeat at Watford, with the former striker departing without winning a title as United manager.

Ten Hag's bright start
The Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford in April 2022 and has gone on to enjoy a bright start to life with the Manchester club.
The former Ajax boss needed just six months to end United's long wait for a trophy, having helped the club win the Carabao Cup back in February.
Man United are also in a pole position to add yet another trophy before the end of the season when they come up against rivals Man City in the final of this season's FA Cup.

FootballTen Hag's shocking stat
Despite the Dutchman's apparent success with the Red Devils, a shocking stat has emerged showing that Solskjaer was better than him.
According to The Sun, United have lost more times under Ten Hag this season than they ever did with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as boss,
In the Premier League alone, the Old Trafford dwellers have suffered nine defeats in the Dutchman's first season in charge.
A stat shared by ex-Liverpool star Jose Enrique showed that Solskjaer lost only eight times during the 2019/20 season and six times in the 20/21 campaign.
3 Man United stars to leave club
Earlier, Sports Brief reported three Manchester United stars who fell out of favour under Erik ten Hag are set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Ten Hag is set to embark on a radical plan to restructure the Man United squad as he bids to help the club challenge for more trophies next season.
The move would see the Dutchman ship out a number of fringe players in the hope of raising transfer funds and creating room for summer arrivals.
