Paris Saint-Germain have rebuffed reports that the Ligue 1 club wants to cut ties with Lionel Messi at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Messi, currently on a two-week suspension by PSG, will become a free agent this summer when his two-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions expires at the end of the season.
According to Sportskeeda, PSG are very much eager to keep the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner beyond June 2023 and have tabled the best possible offer for the Argentine icon to extend his deal.
Messi got into trouble with the PSG's hierarchy after making an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia, resulting in the Ligue 1 champions punishing the forward.

Barcelona, Inter Miami, Inter Milan and Al Hilal have all indicated an interest in signing Messi next season when his current PSG deal expires.
Messi’s apology changes nothing
Meanwhile, former Paris Saint-Germain player, Jerome Rothen, has described Lionel Messi’s apology to the Ligue 1 club as sad and revealed it changes nothing, Daily Post reports.
